Responsibilities

Altus Regional is looking for a Consulting Services Manager to lead its Consulting Team in Barbados. The Consulting Services Manager will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects according to client specifications. This role will report to the Managing Director and will operate cross functionally with our Maritime, Corporate, Marketing, and Climate Action teams.

  • Lead corporate policy and advocacy efforts
  • Conducting in-depth legal and scholarly research
  • Develop briefs and memos around impactful governmental policy and regulation
  • Provide analysis and guidance on legislation that impacts the ARCS Group and its clients;
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders
  • Represent ARCS at business events and meetings with stakeholders
  • Work cross functionally with teams across the ARCS Group to inform policy issues and messaging
  • Work with academics, research institutions and universities for collaborative learning
  • Work closely with the legal team on drafting policies
  • Work closely with the Environmental Team on preparing EIAs and ESG Reports.
  • Work with key stakeholders to stay abreast of changing law and policy and provide input for upcoming regulation or legislation

Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Law, Sociology, Communication, Economics, or related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of policy and advocacy experience;
  • Experience in policy formulation and implementation is desired;
  • Experience working at a senior level in the maritime, environmental, tourism or financial services sector would be an asset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to deliver within tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and futuristic lens of how regulation can impact business;
  • Able to think conceptually and make connections into industry trends, competitive landscape, political frameworks
